Tosa Lofts is a multi-family apartment building consisting of 358 units with a multitude of amenities. Located along a historic commuter road, Bluemound Rd, paved a travel corridor which influenced the identity of the site to this day. With a steep topography, the building’s massing steps down and carves away the length and density looking to replace an existing mile long aging structure. Materiality and brick details refer to the midcentury modern context of the neighborhood for a building that is timeless and contextual.
This project prioritizes an amenity rich experience for residents, both on the interior and the exterior. On the ground floor, residents are greeted with a two-story lobby adjacent to the garden clubroom containing work from home spaces, conference rooms, and the garden level terrace providing tenants quieter amenity options. Anchoring the garden level terrace is a garden pavilion which can be reserved for private events.
The pool level terrace creates a lively amenity environment including a wading pool, sun deck, fire pits. This terrace level is occupied by a clubroom, media/gaming rooms, and billiards. Additionally, there are extensive fitness offerings including free weights, cardio, spin room, massage room, sauna, cold shower, and indoor/outdoor yoga spaces.
